Stained glass windows

For art, we had to draw stained glass windows, because we are busy with a cathedral project, which involves that we have to design a cathedral, and we all had to draw two stained glass windows, one lancet and one rose window. In the lancet, I've drawn an apple tree with a farm on the background, and in the rose window I drew a pattern I thought was very nice. The rose window I did only half because I didn't have time enough to colour the other half as well, but the other half is supposed to look exactly the same.

Fogg mobile

For art, but also for a compitition of the Phileas Fogg Theatre Company, we had to make a design they could put on their bus. I did this assignment together with Eva, and we had a lot of fun creating this. Those are the designs, the first one is the back of the bus, the second one the front and the last one is what the sides would look like if our design would have been chosen.

Keith Haring bike

For art, we got some information about Keith Haring, and examples of his work. After that we got the assignment to design a bike, a bike you would like to have. The bike didn't had to be Keith Haring style, you could also make it your style, or maybe a bike that already existed of shape, but that you decorated it. It was very nice to do, a lot of fun. This is my bike, hope you like it!

Lino cut

Lino cut

On Friday, we were doing some lino cuts. It was a lot of fun to do, we had to make a logo for ourselves so I made a cake, with my letters, some infinities, and dots. We had to choose two colours, I choose yellow and pink. I made a picture of my stamp, my worst print and the best print:

Folder

At the start of the year, we started making a folder to put all our work in,  mine is finally finished so here it is!
The assignment was to make a graphic design with black, white and one supporting colour. I choose green as supporting colour. It was very nice to do, I painted my first name, the class I am in this year and an infinity with crazy in it. This is my folder, hope you like it!

We had to make a drawing about ourselves, with in it:
Something you always have with you; my hairbrush.
Your star sign; Aquarius.
Something that has to do with your hobby; the cupcake and the rolling pin because I love baking cakes, and nail lacquer because I also really like to do my nails.
Your letter(s); the I and the V in my case.
When we were finished drawing and colouring in, we had to outline some things. It was really much fun to do, so this is my drawing;

Good and bad logo's

For art, we had to find some good and some bad logo's.
I added descriptions why I think they are good or bad logo's.

Good logo's

This one is from the Albert Heijn, a Dutch supermarket.

This one is from google, it's very nice because it is mady by paint, and it still has the colors and letters from google in it.

This one is from apple, i think it is a very good logo because it has the kind of shine of a laptop screen or a phone screen, and it is also an apple, and Apple makes electronics like laptops and phones.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
This one is from Batman, he is a superhero in strips and movies, it is a very good logo because it are just two colors, and there is a bat in it, because Batman is a flying superhero!

This one is from Disney, Disney thinks of stories, they write them down and make very nice and funny movies from it. I think it is good, because everyone recognizes it while it are very special letters. 

This one is from RedBull, I think it is a very good logo because you can see two red bulls, just like in the name. They look like they have a lot of muscles and a lot of energy, exactly what RedBull gives you, energy, because it is an energy drink.

 
 
This logo is from the UN, the United Nations. They are for the safety in the world, and when there is a war going on or something, they help the people by giving them food, and they try to stop the leaders from fighting. It is a very good one, because it shows a picture of the globe and also those laurels around it, they symbolize peace.

This one is from VolksWagen, that is a car. It is a very good logo, because you can see both the V and W, but still it is very nice, easy to recognize, and not to much in there.

This logo is from WWF, World Wide Fund, which is to help endangered species to survive. It is a very nice and good logo, because it shows a panda bear, which are in some regions endangered as well. It is also very good because it is made in just two colors, but still not hard to recognize what it is so everyone knows from what that logo is.

This one is from YouTube, a site where you can watch clips and movies about all sort of stuff, from music to "how to explanations". It is a very good logo, because it is very easy to recognize, and it doesn't have to much in it.

 

Bad logo's

This logo is the one from Toyota, it is a car, even though it isn't really that ugly, it  doesn't have anything to do with a car, or the name, or anything.

This one is from Omo, a detergent. I think it has nothing to do with washing stuff, and it is kind of boring.

This logo is from Yamaha, that is a brand which makes motors. When I saw it the first time, I thougt like "What does this have to do with motors?" nothing! I think it is kind of strange, and don't like it.

This one is from Neckermann, that is a shop that sells clothes,electronics, bicycles, etc. I think they have a really boring logo, some may think it's good, but I don't think so.

The next logo is the one from nissan, a brand that makes cars. I think it is really boring, just a circle with a stripe with their name on it.

This one is from the Lidl, a supermarket. I think  it is boring, and if you see it, you don't think about a supermarket.

The next one is from LG, they make phones, but I don't really see what their logo has to do with phones. Yes, it is a funny face, but when you see it, who would think they make phones?!

This one is also from a supermarket, Delhaize this time. I think it is a bad logo because it has a lion or something on it, and who would think, when they see a lion, hee that is a supermarket! Nobody?!

This logo is from Daihatsu, a brand which makes cars. I think it is actually kind of stupid logo, because it just has a D in it, and that is the first letter of the name, but it doesn't have anything to do with cars.
